A Coat That Walks Your Dog Too
Houndstooth is the one pattern that never leaves a fall wardrobe, and this coat wears it in black and white with a thick black sherpa collar that stands up around the neck. The depth of that collar is most of the warmth. It sits against the fur and stops cold air from running down the back.
The part that changes the walk is the D-ring. It is stitched into the coat with a double box stitch, so the coat is the harness. Nothing has to go on underneath, and there is no fussing with a second set of straps on a dog who is already tired of standing still.

Measure the chest at its widest point, right behind the front legs. That measurement matters most.
